Sentaras billing department can provide personalized, up-to-date pricing information for many common medical procedures. After calling a customer care representative, patients will receive a written estimate within three business days either by phone or in the mail.
To speak to a customer care representative:

Call 757-233-4889 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Make sure to have the following available when placing the call:

Copy of current insurance card

Current deductible or HRA/HSA bridge/gap information

Current co-payment and/or co-insurance amounts

Name of facility where your doctor will perform the procedure

Name of surgeon, referring physician and office telephone number

Information on whether the procedure will be performed inpatient or outpatient.
Your insurance company is also a helpful source of information. To call your health plan, check your member card for contact information.

Insured and uninsured estimates
The estimate will reflect a patients insurance plan coverage. It can also be calculated for those without health insurance.
Patients without insurance will receive an estimate for the service itself. They will be referred to Sentaras financial assistance programs for help in paying their bills.
