Sentara Physician Education Privacy and Confidentiality Statement

Sentara Healthcare (SHC) maintains privacy and confidentiality commitment of personal information utilized in any enduring-internet-on-line learning formats. SHC acknowledges the importance of the privacy of personal information and is committed to honoring your privacy.

Information collected for the purposes of continuing education will not be provided to any third party. Unique identifiers are only collected to verify a user’s identity. Personal information collected consists of full name, degree, contact address, contact phone number, specialty, last four digits of the social security number and email address. Email addresses are used for the sole purpose of communication regarding Sentara CME, and for purposes of notifying users of CME updates and future programs offered through Sentara Healthcare.

Sentara Physician Education Refund Policy

If a CME program sponsored by Sentara Healthcare has a Registration Fee, the following Refund Policy will be in effect. Cancellations must be made in writing and received by the Sentara Physician Education Office no less than five (5) business days prior to the event.  If this Cancellation is received in the time-frame indicated, a Refund will be made to the registrant as outlined in the program brochure. For more information, please email
