Clinical Respiratory Specialist
We are targeting to open the new Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in August of 2011. It will become Virginia Beach’s Family Maternity Center destination and home to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong neo-natal experience to fill this Clinical Respiratory Specialist position.

Job Summary/Purpose: Accountable for outcomes management process for defined area. Serves as a consultant and assumes operational responsibility in collaboration with medical directors for the development of patient and staff education within Respiratory Care SSH population(s) twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university in health care or science related field required. Masters degree from an accredited college/university in health care or science related field preferred additional education that prepares the individual to function in an advanced practice role.
Experience: Five years current clinical experience in respiratory care with an emphasis on critical care practice.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Other: Strong management skills. Excellent ability to work well with team members. Knowledge of the practice of respiratory care. Basic Computer Skills. Registered Respiratory Therapist nationally credentialed through the National Board of Respiratory Therapy. BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
