Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is looking for a Manager, Medical Care Management.
This full-time position will assume responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality, and service. First line supervisor in the Department of Medical Care Management for assigned site/function. Facilitates the work of assigned team members. Provides a leadership role in ongoing case manager competency assessment, needs identification and educational offerings. Provides educational services to the Medical Care Management staff across multiple provider sites. May share these responsibilities with other team coordinators within the department. Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed. Contributes to the success of MCM through effective work coordination, management of resources, identification and implementation of identified opportunities, and participation in goal accomplishment. Supports and communicates Sentara Healthcare’s mission, values, goals and provides direction to assigned team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience: Five years experience in managed care, discharge planning or Case Management experience strongly preferred. Previous supervisory experience desired.
Licensure: Current license in the Commonwealth of Virginia to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Certification in Case Management preferred
