Registered Nurse - eHospital 

Job Summary/Purpose: This is a full-time position.  The eHospital RN will provide telemedicine care to a diverse population of acutely ill adolescents and adults, act as an advocate, guide and resource for the Medical/Surgical RNs.

Job Criteria:
- Utilizes eCareManager & video conferencing to collaborate with the bedside nurse & the managing physicians in providing individualized, age-specific care.
- Appropriately interacts with patient and family members during in-room video.
- Utilizes computer skills to identify alarms, scrolling, audio/video and care plan development. 
- Functions as a collaborative member of the eHospital team.
- Provides individualized care to address the needs of the patient to include physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual and cognitive needs.
- Functions as an autonomous RN while analyzing physician progress notes, orders, and laboratory data to develop eHospital progress notes & update care plans
- Develops implements and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. 
- Coordinates and collaborates with multi disciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. 
- Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.  
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. 
Experience: Requires 3+ years of recent relevant ICU, ED, or Step down experience and successful charge experience.  Applicant must be proficient with Windows-based computer applications.
Other: Current BLS and ACLS certification. 
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a recognized compact state.
