From the Elizabeth City, N.C. area
Take U.S. 17 North from the Elizabeth City area, bearing right onto Dominion Blvd. (Rt. 104) after you pass the Great Dismal Swamp. 
 Stay on Dominion Blvd. taking the entrance to I-64 toward Richmond and Virginia Beach. 
 At the interchange of I-64 and the Virginia Beach-Norfolk Expressway (Rt. 264), exit onto the Expressway toward Virginia Beach. 
 Take the Newtown Road South exit and turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.

From the Nags Head, N.C. area 
 Take Rt. 168 North from the Outer Banks area. Take the Rt. 168 North Bypass in Great Bridge. Exit onto Battlefield Blvd. North. Follow Battlefield Blvd. to I-64 West (signs direct to Virginia Beach). 
 Take I-64 West and exit onto Rt. 264 East. Take the Newtown Road South exit and turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.

From the Eastern Shore 
 Take U.S. 13 South crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Stay on Northampton Blvd. 
 Follow Northampton Blvd. under the I-64 overpass until it intersects with Kempsville Road on your left. (USAA Drive will be on the right.)
Take a left onto Kempsville Road (Rt. 165), going south for approximately 2 miles. Cross Virginia Beach Blvd. (Rt. 58).Sentara Leigh Hospital is 2 blocks south on the left. Turn left at the first Sentara Leigh Hospital entrance (Emergency and Outpatient entrance) and left again to the parking lot.

From the Peninsula
Take I-64 East, crossing the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.
Exit I-64 at the Newtown Road exit immediately past the turnoff for Norfolk and Virginia Beach. This puts you on the Virginia Beach-Norfolk Expressway (Rt. 264) heading east. See Rt. 44 directions below. 
 Take the Newtown Road South exit, and turn right. Take Newtown Road to Kempsville Road. At the light, turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.

From Route 44 and I-264:

From Franklin/Suffolk 
 Take Rt. 58 East. At Bowers Hill, follow I-64 West signs toward Virginia Beach. From I-64 West, exit onto Rt. 264 East toward Virginia Beach. 
 Take the Newtown Road South exit and turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.

From Ahoskie, N.C
 Take Rt. 13 North to Rt. 58 East. At Bowers Hill, follow I-64 West signs toward Virginia Beach. From I-64 West, exit onto Rt. 264 East toward Virginia Beach. 
 Take the Newtown Road South exit and turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.

From Roanoke Rapids, N.C
 Take I-95 North to Emporia. Then take Rt. 58 East to Suffolk and Bowers Hill. At Bowers Hill, follow I-64 West signs that direct you toward Virginia Beach. From I-64 West, exit onto Rt. 264 East toward Virginia Beach. 
 Take the Newtown Road South exit and turn right onto Kempsville Road. Proceed under the overpass. You will pass Interstate Office Park on your right. Sentara Leigh Hospital will follow immediately on your right.
