Sentara Health and Preventive Services is pleased to offer the WalkAbout with Healthy Edge program to select groups. The program enables participants to count their total number of steps in a day and track them in a logbook. This six-month walking program encourages participants to start moving to get healthy and stay healthy. By wearing a pedometer, participants measure the number of steps taken in a day and work toward increasing that number to 10,000 steps per day or more depending on current activity levels.
