Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American Academy of AAAAI is the largest professional medical specialty organization representing allergists, clinical immunologists, allied health professionals and other physicians with a special interest in allergies. Its Web site features a patient and public resource center containing Fast Facts, education materials, patient support organizations and resources, news items and Just for Kids.
Asthma MedlinePlus, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, offers comprehensive information on asthma symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and news, as well as links to many other asthma Web sites.

Autism The Autism Society of America provides assistance to families and health care providers. Fact sheets, topics on life with autism, research and an online course are included on the Web site. Link to the Tidewater chapter of the society. 
Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk is the only facility of its kind in Virginia, and one of only 51 freestanding children's hospitals nationwide. Devoted exclusively to the health needs of children, CHKD serves as the region's referral center for critical care and the most advanced services for children during times of crisis. Site includes health tips and a pediatrician search.
Dermatology, American Academy of The ADD represents virtually all practicing dermatologists in the United States and Canada. Its site features numerous patient education materials, information on skin diseases, news updates, research developments and the ADD's Journal online.
Diabetes Association, American Internationally recognized with a membership of more than 460,000, ADA offers online research and patient information, news, nutrition information, advocacy and legal resources. It also links to journals and magazines for both consumers and health professionals.
Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, National Institute of Web site offers A to Z topics, clinical trials and statistics on health conditions including, diabetes, digestive diseases, hematologic, kidney, nutrition, urologic, endocrine glands and metabolism, weight control and continence. Provides a link to the National Information Clearinghouses.
Dietetic Association, American The American Dietetic Association is the largest national accrediting and professional association for nutrition professionals in the United States. ADA's site provides timely, reliable nutrition information and a link to a listing of credentialed and qualified registered dietitians who offer nutrition information and counseling.
Down Syndrome Society, National Focused on people with Down syndrome and their abilities to achieve full potential in community life, the National Down Syndrome Society provides general, clinical and educational resources for individuals with Down syndrome, as well as involved parents, teachers, researchers and health professionals. Includes web links to national resources and support groups.
Epilepsy Foundation of America The Epilepsy Foundation is a national charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of children and adults affected by epilepsy. Web site topics include education, research, advocacy, news and an online store.  
Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia The statewide Epilepsy Foundation Web site includes a newsletter, articles, advocacy issues, contacts, events and a listing of doctors.
March of Dimes With a mission to prevent birth defects and infant mortality, the March of Dimes offers a Web site with multiple information resources, including a health library with infant health statistics and steps to having a healthy baby, public and professional education and worksite programs. A search feature contains listings of local March of Dimes chapters.
American Academy of Pediatrics The American Academy of Pediatrics' site provides a variety of health information related to children from birth through young adulthood, such as current news and press release archives, policy and advocacy issues and a general health topics search.
