From the initial point of contact, the Program Navigator guides first-time patients through the referral and screening processes. Upon completion, patients are evaluated by a Sentara Heart cardiothoracic surgeons and/or cardiac electrophysiologist to determine the most appropriate course of therapy and/or treatment.
The Program Navigator provides a single point of contact for referring physicians on their patient's progress and ensures follow-up management is communicated upon discharge from the Center.
