Pre-Admission Testing 

Pre-Admission Testing is offered from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

You may need to have routine pre-admission tests before surgery to advise your physician of your general state of health. Tests may include lab work, X-rays, or an EKG. If you need testing at the hospital, your representative can schedule a convenient time for you a week or two prior to surgery.

If your pre-admission testing is not performed at a Sentara facility, or if your physician's office performs these tests, the results must be sent in writing to the hospital (either by mail or fax) no later than 24 hours before your surgery.

Please park in the lot in front of the Patient Entrance located to the left of Sentara Leigh Hospital, facing Kempsville Road, and register at the Admissions Desk.
