About the Guest Services at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
Sentara Healthcare has a strong commitment to make its health services available and accessible only to patients who live outside the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. If you are an International Patient or family member, please see our International Patients section.

Location
The Guest Center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is located on floor 6B. Take the elevators nearest the cafeteria to the 6th floor.

Reservations
While your loved one is in our care, you may reserve an available room within the facility for $25. Only one room may be reserved per patient family. The patient's address must be from out of the Tidewater area to qualify. Call (757) 388-3118 or (800) 237-4822, ext. 3118 for reservations. After hours, please contact the Patient Care Supervisor about Guest Center availability.

Hours
The Guest Center reception desk is staffed 8am-to 4:30pm, 7 days a week. Check-in time is from 2pm-4:30pm Check out time is  8am-11am.

Comfort, Convenience and Safety
Each room has two single beds, a television, phone, sink and restroom. Showers are located just down the hall from the guest rooms. Coffee, soda and snack machines are located in the lobby of the Guest Center. An ice machine with cups is located in the Guest Center kitchen. Free internet access is available on the computer in the Guest Center lounge. Accommodations are strictly limited to family members of a patient from outside the Tidewater area. Two adults are allowed in each room. No children under the age 18 are allowed. No unregistered guests are allowed in the Guest Center rooms. Absolutely no medical care can or will be provided or given in the Guest Center. No exceptions are made due to safety code.
