Volunteers 

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital volunteers enjoy the opportunity to interact with patients, visitors, and staff members. They are a comprehensive group of volunteers, ranging from students to retirees, and are involved with general and patient-related duties. Students, ages 14 through 17, volunteer during the summer and begin an exciting hospital experience, being exposed to numerous medical career options. Volunteers also staff the hospitals excellent Gift Shop and Information Desks. Teen volunteer opportunities are also available at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
