Sentara Therapy Center - St. Lukes 

Sentara Therapy Center, formerly Smithfield Physical Therapy, has been serving the community for more than 25 years. Now located on the campus of Sentara St. Luke’s, it offers physical and occupational therapies with the goal of helping patients ease pain, restore movement and regain strength after surgery, illness or injury.  

Timeline

1987: Smithfield Physical Therapy was founded by Patty Wray & Lucy White 1995: Center becomes an extension of Louise Obici Memorial Hospital 2006: Sentara and Obici merged to form Sentara Obici Hospital… and with that, Smithfield Physical Therapy also joins the Sentara family of care 2009: Smithfield Physical Therapy renames to Smithfield Therapy Center and relocates to a new state-of-the-art space at Sentara St. Luke’s
