Palliative medicine takes a holistic approach to patient care and is compassionate care for patients in all disease stages, including those undergoing treatment for curable illnesses, living with chronic diseases, as well as patients who are nearing the end of life. Pain and symptom management is important, as serious illness can cause physical, social, and psychological symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, depression and anxiety that can deteriorate your quality of life.
Our quality palliative care team consists of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and chaplains with clinical expertise in diseases, treatment options and pain and symptom management. This team will work with you to help you better understand your condition and choices for care, to manage your pain and other symptoms, and to make you feel supported throughout your entire regimen of care.
