Sentara Pediatric Physicians are board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. They are trained in all aspects of care for infants, children and adolescents. Our physicians provide hospital care for our acutely ill patients who do not require intensive care.
They have recently been recognized for their patient care model of delivering high quality care based on evidence-based, nationally recognized clinical standards. The National Committee for Quality Assurance Physician Practice Connections Program—Patient Centered Medical Home (PPC-PCMH) awarded the practice a Level III NCQA recognition—the highest level awarded.
In addition to the practice recognition, many of the doctors themselves have been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for their care of diabetic and heart / stroke patients.
