Our critical care specialists work with Sentara’s eICU technology to monitor ICU patients. Through an elaborate network of cameras, monitors, and two-way communication links, doctors and critical care nurses at the eICU® command center make virtual rounds of patients to monitor their conditions. This highly advanced, integrated system of care helps to insure the safest environment possible for our ICU patients, and helped produce the most dramatic reduction of mortality in the history of ICU care.

Our doctors also support the Sentara Sleep Disorders Center at Sentara Independence where they offer services to prevent, diagnose and treat sleep-related problems.
