Healthy living is the focus of
Prevention magazine’s first "Prevention Garden Party: A HealthStyle Festival" on Saturday, May 9, 2009, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at
Norfolk Botanical Garden.
The event focuses on health and prevention and includes the garden’s annual plant sale, cooking and exercise demonstrations, speakers, massage, beauty consultation, health screenings, national vendors, children’s activities and entertainment.
Additionally, the festival will offer participants a chance to win a range of exciting prizes. Optima Health is the health sponsor and will conduct a wide range of health screenings. Nationally recognized experts will also be on hand from
Prevention. Sentara will hold a 1K Run & Fun Walk for its employees at 8:00 a.m.
