How Do You Improve Health Every Day?

“I improve health every day by offering material that can help lower people's stress level, cholesterol, and blood pressure, among other things. In addition, I express the importance of making small, realistic changes to their lifestyle that will last a lifetime. Making small changes can have a huge impact on your overall health, especially long term.”

“I improve health every day through my work with Community Health and Preventive Services at Mission: Health screenings for Sentara employees. I have the opportunity to talk to new employees and current employees and share information with them on weight, blood pressure and cholesterol and how important it is to keep these numbers within recommended limits. The information can help them in their efforts to lead a healthier lifestyle. I also get to applaud those employees who have made changes and now see improvement in their blood pressure, cholesterol or weight. They are so pleased that their hard work has improved their health.”
