Optima Girl's Basketball Program Scores Big 
Chris Howard gew up in the projects in downtown Norfolk and knew first hand, there were many sports programs for boys, but few for girls. As community program manager for Optima Family Care, one of Virginia's largest Medicaid managed care health plans, Howard was in a position to do something about it.
 


Coping with Diabetes 
When an unexpected Diabetes diagnosis put former LPN Pam Huggins into the role of patient, she discovered education, friendship and support in the form of case worker Lynn Jonas and Optima's Health Care Services Program.
