Intensive Care Units Team
Jacqueline Butler, Lissa Cash, Sarah Darwin, Tim France, Paul Garbarini, Ginny Gartrell, Julie Lammert, Valeria Mitchell, Pam Streetman, Brad Swaim

This multidisciplinary team participated in a national collaborative to improve patient care and outcomes in the Intensive Care Units. They worked with numerous physicians and ICU's across the system to streamline care. They achieved numerous improvements in patient care, including a reduction in ventilator average length of stay and its associated incidents of pneumonia. While improving patient care, this team was also able to reduce costs. They were also able to alleviate Critical Care patient gridlock, optimize patient throughput and improve placement in the ICU/CCU.
