This team was one of the first to integrate services between Tidewater Health Care and Sentara. They redesigned and streamlined all aspects of their work, with more than 70 percent of their employees experiencing changes to their job descriptions. They repositioned the Sentara brand, refocused marketing efforts from facilities to product lines, and eliminated low return on investment programs and services. They reduced annual costs by $1.6 million, with many of those cost savings coming from FTE reductions. The savings were achieved while not only maintaining quality and service standards, but also increasing the satisfaction level of their customers.
