Norfolk, VA - July 16th, 2003 - Margie Barnes, Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator for Sentara Home Care Services, has earned the title of 'Certified Senior Advisor' by completing a demanding course in Priority Senior Issues through the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. She joins a select group of professionals around the country who have voluntarily enhanced their ability to serve the unique needs of senior citizens in the areas of medicine, insurance, investments and recreation.

To achieve this coveted CSA designation, Ms. Barnes completed an intensive three-and-a-half day course in Philadelphia, including several hours of homework each night, followed by a comprehensive 150-question examination. Ms. Barnes will keep her knowledge current through continuing education programs offered by the society, and the organization's monthly information updates.

Senior Citizens, aged 65 and older, now number more than 35 million in the United States, and that population is steadily growing. Their service needs require highly-skilled professionals, and Margie Barnes of Sentara Home Care Services has taken the personal initiative to be among the best in her field.
