December 12, 2005 - Sentara's public Web site, www.sentara.com, has a new look - and much more. Thanks to nearly a year of work, the Web site provides new features and navigation to improve user experience.
After conducting a comprehensive review of the existing site architecture and design, the new site includes a newly structured site organization that reduces the number of clicks to content, and helps drive visitors quickly to the main areas of interest. The result is a dynamic, flexible and expandable site that unifies Sentara Healthcare's more than 70 care giving sites - while allowing each entity the opportunity to highlight its own unique offerings.
One example of how the site was improved, lies in the navigation. The top navigation header, "Find it Fast" box and Google Search is persistent across all pages of the site, giving users direct access to the entire offerings of the health system at all times.
