Hampton, Va. - February 2, 2006 - Lynn F. Dahl, D.O., is the newest member of the Sentara Medical Group, located at the Sentara CarePlex Hospital, 3000 Coliseum Drive in Hampton.
Prior to joining the Sentara Medical Group, Dr. Dahl served as medical director of the James River Comprehensive Pain Management Center in Newport News. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
After receiving her bachelors degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Dr. Dahl earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her internship and her residency in Anesthesiology with a concentration in Pain Medicine at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Dahl retired from the United States Army Medical Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel after 22 years of service. She later served as medical director of the Pain Management Department at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
