Covington, Va. - December 1, 2008 – Sentara Home Care Services is pleased to announce it will acquire ownership of Highlands Home Health based in Covington, Va., effective December 1, 2008.
Under its new name of Sentara Highlands Home Care Services, the agency will continue to provide home health services, physical therapy and home health aids, while adding new programs in the future.
“We are very pleased to welcome the employees of Highlands Home Health to our growing family of home health providers in the Commonwealth of Virginia," said Ray Darcey, vice president, Sentara Enterprises. "We are excited about providing the same compassionate, high-quality and cost-effective services their home care agency has provided in the Alleghany region.”
From the physicians’ and patients’ standpoint, nothing should change according to Darcey.
“We will continue with the same expert staff they have become accustomed to. In addition, we look forward to working with the physicians and the community to provide high-quality home care services,” Darcey said.
Sentara Home Care Services is a regional home care agency headquartered in Chesapeake, Va., with additional offices in Williamsburg, Hampton, Suffolk, Richmond, Charlottesville and Elizabeth City, N.C..
