Effective October 1, 2008 Sept. 26, 2008 - Charlottesville, VA – Sentara Home Care Services is pleased to announce it will acquire ownership of Martha Jefferson HomeCare, effective October 1, 2008.
Under its new name of Sentara Home Care Services, the agency will continue to provide home health services, including skilled nursing, and physical, occupational and speech therapy, while adding new programs.
“We are excited about continuing our affiliation with Martha Jefferson Hospital and providing the same compassionate, high-quality and cost-effective services their home care agency has provided in the Charlottesville community over the years,” says Ray Darcey, vice president, Sentara Enterprises.
Sentara Home Care has had a management agreement with Martha Jefferson HomeCare since June 2008.
From the physicians’ and patients’ standpoint, nothing should change according to Darcey. “We will continue with the same expert staff they have become accustomed to. In addition, we look forward to working with the physicians and the community to increase our geographical service area and increase our staffing to accommodate that growth.”
