‘Choose WiseLeigh’ event includes Nightingale Air Ambulance, Health Screenings
Hours 9 a.m. to Noon
Norfolk, VA – July 28, 2009 - Sentara Leigh Hospital is changing. There’s an expanded, modernized emergency department. Improvements are underway on operating rooms and behind-the-scenes areas to improve patient care. Sentara Leigh is celebrating its first national ranking in orthopedics in the U.S. News & World Report ‘America’s Best Hospitals’ edition for 2009. It performs the most knee replacements in Virginia.
Sentara Leigh draws patients from Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, due in part to its central location on Kempsville Road in Norfolk and because of its reputation as a community hospital with big hospital sophistication.
It was the first Sentara hospital to ‘go live’ with the Sentara eCare Health Network®, a groundbreaking electronic medical records system. It is also part of the Sentara eICU network, which saves lives by remote monitoring of intensive care patients.
