March 6, 2009 - Cesar Y. Alinsonorin, Jr., M.D., is the newest member of
Sentara NDC Medical Center, located at 850 Kempsville Rd., Norfolk, Va.

Dr. Alinsonorin earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at De La Salle University in Manilla, Philippines; a medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in Manilla in 1995; and a health care management certificate from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. in 2007.
He completed an internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y., in 1999; a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at New York University Medical Center in New York, N.Y., in 2002; and an interventional pulmonary fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Before joining Sentara, Dr. Alinsonorin served as a clinician in private practice and an administrator in various facilities in Louisburg, N.C. Dr. Alinsonorin is board certified and a diplomate in sleep medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary diseases and internal medicine, and has passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
He is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American Association of Bronchology and the North Carolina Medical Society.
