– Norfolk, VA – April A. Truett, M.D. has joined NDC Medical Center & Urgent Care of Sentara Medical Group. Based in Norfolk, she provides comprehensive and individualized care in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Her office is located at 850 Kempsville Road.
Dr. Truett earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth followed by a fellowship in infectious disease at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA in 2004.
Dr. Truett specializes in the treatment of pneumonia, bone infections, infectious complications of a variety of medical illnesses, HIV/AIDS and tropical diseases. Her experience includes clinical and research environments.
Dr. Truett is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
