Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Location: Sentara CarePlex Hospital, James River Entrance, Conference Room C
Description of Topic: Deborah Minnis, Au.D., senior audiologist at Sentara CarePlex Hospital, presents the latest in hearing aids and shares information about how hearing aid innovations can improve telephone and television listening.
Most people don’t realize hearing loss can impact their health. Short-term memory loss, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and social withdrawal can all be caused by hearing loss.
During a candid discussion, Dr. Minnis helps participants evaluate hearing aids and answers common questions such as why do some hearing aids whistle or why would some people buy hearing aids and then not wear them? Participants can ask questions in a relaxed setting and have hands-on experience with real hearing aids.
