April 13, 2009 – Hampton, VA – Eric L. Tweedie, M.D. has joined Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists of Sentara Medical Group. As an anesthesiologist, he conducts pre- and post-operative evaluation and consultation with the patient and surgical team to create an anesthesia plan tailored to each individual patient, ensuring their comfort and safety. He serves patients through Sentara CarePlex Hospital located at 3000 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA.
Dr. Tweedie earned his medical degree from Dalhouse University Medical School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He completed his internship at Dalhouse University and his anesthesiology residency at Fletcher Allen Hospital through the University of Vermont in Burlington. Dr. Tweedie’s training included subspecialties of cardiac anesthesia, critical care anesthesia, neuro-anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia.
Dr. Tweedie is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
