Williamsburg, VA – John D. Lasater, M.D. has joined
Urology of Virginia, a specialty practice of
Sentara Medical Group. He brings over 20 years of experience in urology to the New Advanced Urology Center (SAUC) at
Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, scheduled to open in early summer 2009.
Dr. Lasater joins a team of fellowship-trained physicians and sub-specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, incontinence and general urological conditions. His office is located at 4000 Coliseum Drive, Ste 300 in Hampton, VA.
Dr. Lasater earned his medical degree from the Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK followed by residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Health Sciences in Oklahoma where he served as chief resident. Subsequently he served in the United States Air Force Medical Corps before returning to private practice in New Bern, NC.
Dr. Lasater is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
