October 6, 2009 – Dr. Galbreath has joined
Sentara Neurology Specialists, a specialty practice of
Sentara Medical Group. Sentara Neurology Specialists is a group of leading neurologists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system—the brain, the spinal cord, and the nerves. Dr. Galbreath joins fellow neurology experts at 1950 Glenn Mitchell Drive, Suite 200, in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Galbreath earned his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, in 2004. He subsequently completed his neurology residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, followed by fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine, also at Duke University.
Dr. Galbreath has a special interest in nerve and muscle diseases such as Lou Gehring’s disease, muscular dystrophies, neuropathies and myasthenia gravis. He is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Academy of Neurology and the American Osteopathic Association. When he is not at work, Dr. Galbreath enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, listening to music and participating in sports activities.
