Williamsburg VA – September 2009 – Dr. Vijay Subramaniam has joined Sentara Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists, a specialty practice of Sentara Medical Group. Sentara Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialists offer a comprehensive range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the lungs such as lung cancer and respiratory system including—asthma, emphysema, pneumonia, malignancy, pleural effusion and sleep disorders including sleep apnea. His practice is located at 400 Sentara Cirlcle, Ste. 320 on the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center campus in Williamsburg.
Dr. Subramaniam earned his medical degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College in Gulbarga, Karnataka India in 1999. He subsequently served his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Subramaniam joins Sentara Medical Group from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dr. Subramaniam is certified in multiple specialties--internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
