Dr. U earned his medical degree from the Institute of Medicine in Rangoon Burma and went on to perform his internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medicine Sciences in Little Rock, AK. He served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. U subsequently completed a stroke and headache mini-fellowship at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.
Dr. U demonstrates a commitment to individualized care and brings patients in Western Tidewater a special expertise in headache and migraine diagnostics. As a neuro-specialist he uses the most advanced technology and therapies in his practice--including botox therapy for various neurological disorders and neuroelectrophysiology (EEG/EMG/NCS) diagnostics.
Dr. U is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds a post-graduate masters degree of public health from Mahidol University (affiliated with Tulane University) in Bangkok, Thailand.
