March 9, 2009 - Adam M. Gulhan, M.D., is the newest member of
Sentara Neurology Specialists, located at 850 Kempsville Rd., 2nd Floor, Ste. 5, Norfolk, Va.

Dr. Gulhan received his medical degree in 1987 at Gulhane Medical School/Medical Academy in Ankara, Turkey. He completed an internship in 1988 at Haydarpasa Educational Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, and a residency in the Department of Otolaryngology-H&NS at Gulhane Medical Academy in 1994.
He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Otolaryngology, Division of Neurotology, at the University of Pittsburgh in 1995-96 and a research fellow at Rangos Research Center, Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology, at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996-98. In 1999 he completed an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a residency in 2002 in MCV’s Department of Neurology. He completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at MCV in 2003.
Prior to joining Sentara, Dr. Gulham served as a general practitioner in Sanliurfa, Turkey, and an otolaryngologist in Ankara, Turkey. He practiced as a neurologist at Community Neurological Services in Richmond, Va.; a neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at Conemaugh Health System Memorial Medical Center and John P. Murtha Neuroscience and Pain Institute; a neurologist at Memorial Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey; and a neurologist at Comphealth in Richmond.
Dr. Gulham is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-H&NS, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Neuromuscular Disorders and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
