Hampton, VA (August 2010) – James Byrne, MD, has joined Sentara Family & Internal Medicine Physicians. As a family physician he is uniquely trained to care for you as a whole person.
Dr. Byrne is able to care for a wide variety of medical needs for all members of the family including adults, adolescents, and children. He joins fellow physicians at
Sentara Family & Internal Medicine Physicians located in the Coliseum area of Hampton, Virginia.
Earning his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies in 1999, Dr. Byrne subsequently completed residencies with Lafayette Family Medicine in New York and Pinnacle Health Family Medicine in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Sentara, Dr. Byrne served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon and the primary emergency medical physician in deployed environments. He also served as a family physician and medical director, providing the full spectrum of family and internal medicine to a diverse patient population, at Prompt Care in Gig Harbor, Washington.
