
Hampton, VA (March 2010) – Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel has joined Sentara Neurology Specialists, a specialty practice of Sentara Medical Group. Sentara Neurology Specialists is a group of leading neurologists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system, the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves. Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel joins fellow neurology experts at Sentara Neurology Specialists in their office location at 4000 Coliseum Dr. in Hampton, Virginia.
Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel earned his medical degree from Kasr-El-Einy Medical School at Cairo University School of Medicine in 1985 followed by a radiology residency in the Armed Services and at Naser Institute Hospital in Egypt. Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel then completed his neurology residency at the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2007.
With a master’s degree in radiodiagnosis from Ein Shams University, and fellowship training in neurophysiology and neuroimaging, Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel has special expertise in providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services to patients with epilepsy and numerous other neurological conditions. His professional experience includes the use of electromyogram (EMG) and neurophysiology/EEG which aid in the diagnosis of diseases such as those that affect the spinal cord, nerves, neuromuscular transmission and epilepsy. Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Neuroimaging, and the Egyptian Syndicate of Physicians.
When he is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and child, Dr. Boulos-Mikhaiel likes soccer, swimming, reading and traveling.
