
Hampton, VA (March 2010) – Dr. Martha S. Boulos has joined
Sentara Neurology Specialists, a specialty practice of
Sentara Medical Group. Sentara Neurology Specialists is a group of leading neurologists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system—the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves. Dr. Boulos joins fellow neurology experts at Sentara Neurology Specialists in their office location at 4000 Coliseum Dr, in Hampton, Va.
Dr. Boulos earned her medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine in 1990 and interned at Cairo University in 1992, both located in Cairo, Egypt. She completed her internal medicine residency at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, N.J., in 1997 and her neurology residency at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, in 2000.
Dr. Boulos finished her neurophysiology and sleep medicine disorders fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., in 2001 and 2002, respectively.
Dr. Boulos served as an assistant professor in clinical neurology at Albany Medical College in Albany, N.Y., from 2004 to 2008 and spent a year in private practice in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Dr. Boulos specializes in general neurology, epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders and is specialty trained to diagnose and treat patients with different neurological conditions. Her focus is in restoring health, function and well-being in her patients. Her expertise is in sleep studies including PSGs and MSLTs. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Boulos is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also certified in sleep medicine.
