CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (Sept. 29, 2010) – Martha Jefferson Hospital has announced its intent to merge with Sentara Healthcare.
As part of a strategic planning process, it was determined that they would be in a stronger position to continue delivering on their mission of improving the health status of the community by joining an integrated system. The attributes of the combined systems will better position the hospital to address healthcare reform and other profound changes affecting the healthcare environment.
