Hampton, VA (September 2010) – Maria Guina, MD, has joined Sentara Neurology Specialists, a specialty practice of Sentara Medical Group. Sentara Neurology Specialists is a group of quality neurologists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system — the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves. Located on the campus of Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, Dr. Maria Guina joins Dr. Martha Boulos and Dr. Adel Boulos-Mikhaiel, neurology physicians also with Sentara Neurology Specialists.
Earning her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in 1994, Dr. Guina subsequently completed a neurology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is fellowship-trained in epilepsy and neurophysiology, and specializes in nervous system conditions.
Dr. Maria Guina’s experience and education make her well equipped to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of neurological disorders and conditions involving the nervous system. As a fellowship trained expert in neurology she uses her skills and experience in restoring her patients to their best possible health, function, and continued well-being.
