Dr. Dan Via, a Sentara Medical Group physician with Williamsburg Pediatric, Adolescent & Sports Medicine, and his son are traveling to Nairobi, Kenya, with the group Cross-Cultural Thresholds, Inc., a New York-based nonprofit organization run by Dr. Via's brother. With medical supplies in hand, Dr. Via will be providing medical exams for children and hosting multiple workshops on nutrition, first aid and disease prevention.
