Sentara Nursing Center Currituck will relocate 92 residents in response to a mandatory evacuation order issued by Currituck County.
Most of those residents will be moved to Sentara Life Care facilities in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Staff members will accompany the residents to assure continuity of care. Facility passenger vans will begin moving residents around 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26. A similar relocation took place in 2003 due to Hurricane Isabel.
Sentara Nursing Center Currituck is located at 3907 Caratoke Highway (Route 168) in Barco, North Carolina.
