Virginia Beach, VA (September 2011) – Sean Hesselbacher, MD, has joined Sentara Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Specialists on the campus of Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Southern Virginia Beach.
Dr. Hesselbacher received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and fellowships in both Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine,
Dr. Hesselbacher will partner with patients to provide comprehensive, quality care for a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD (Chronic bronchitis or emphysema), cystic fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Hesselbacher will also provide care through the Sentara Sleep Center. He has specialized training in treating disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and parasomnias and is in the process of completing an additional board certification in Sleep Medicine.
