Sentara Port Warwick Accepting Unused, Unwanted or Expired Prescription Drugs 

When:  Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Rain or shine)
Where: Sentara Port Warwick 11803 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News
When was the last time you cleaned out your medicine cabinet?

For the safety of the community, Sentara is offering is offering a safe and convenient location on the Peninsula at Sentara Port Warwick to drop off any unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs. 
No questions will be asked. Just drive up and drop off unwanted prescription drugs at Sentara Port Warwick.
Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News will have a convenient drive thru open October 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to all Hampton Roads residents. The purpose for rounding up prescription drugs is to get unwanted drugs out of the reach of children and to keep them from being flushed down the drains.
Sentara has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Newport News Police Department to manage the event.
What’s accepted?
Any prescription drugs. No labels or containers or necessary.
What is NOT accepted?
No sharps, aerosols or chemotherapy drugs
