Virginia Beach (October 2011) - MyInnerView, a division of National Research Corporation, has recognized two Sentara Nursing Centers with ‘Excellence in Action’ awards for 2010-2011 for their success in customer and workforce satisfaction. MyInnerView partners with more than 12,000 post-acute care providers to help improve quality, safety, business practices and satisfaction cores by measuring quality and outcomes data.
Sentara Windermere in Virginia Beach received one award for customer satisfaction. Sentara Nursing Center Portsmouth received two awards for customer and workforce satisfaction in surveys conducted during 2010.
Of 5,500 qualifying nursing homes, 593 around the country and only 5 in Virginia received Excellence in Action awards this year.
To receive an award, facilities must have conducted a customer or workforce survey, achieved a minimum 30% response rate and scored in the top 10% on the questions, “What is your recommendation of this facility to others?” or as a place to work based on ratings of ‘excellent.’
