– Emma Hatch, PA-C, has joined Sentara Internal Medicine Physicians in Newport News, VA.
Ms. Hatch earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, in 2012 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, in 2009. While at Vassar, she served as Crew Chief for the Vassar Volunteer EMS Squad.
Ms. Hatch has completed diverse medical training including clinical rotations in cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry and internal medicine. She is trained to conduct numerous medical procedures and provide a broad range of diagnostic services for adult patients.
Her responsibilities include examining patients, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and X-rays, as well as diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Ms. Hatch remains focused on health maintenance and the prevention and treatment of illnesses while working in close collaboration with physicians.
Ms. Hatch is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, she enjoys running, rock climbing and musical theater. She also volunteers as a patient companion at Odyssey Hospice in Norfolk.
