Virginia Beach, VA (August 2012) – Ezmin George, MD, has joined Sentara Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Specialists in Virginia Beach.
Dr. George earned her medical degree in 2006 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine after receiving her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Pittsburgh, cum laude, in 2001.
She then went on to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago in 2009 and her fellowship training in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. George also served as a medical officer for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Durham VA Medical Center and staff instructor at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. George specializes in providing comprehensive care to patients with structural airway disorders and pleural diseases. She is specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage patients with complicated disorders of the chest such as acute or chronic lung disease, asthma, pneumonia, COPD (chronic bronchitis or emphysema), cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease.
Dr. George is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
