Suffolk, VA (December 2012) – Nicole E. Sellers, MSN, ANP-BC, has joined Sentara Cardiology Specialists in Suffolk, VA.
Mrs. Sellers earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Adult Nurse Practitioner degree at The Ohio State University College of Nursing in Columbus, OH, in 2011 while working at the university's heart hospital as a staff registered nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus in 1999. While at Mount Carmel, Mrs. Sellers was a member of the Honor Society of Nursing.
Mrs. Sellers has over 10 years of nursing experience caring for patients in the ICU and inpatient and outpatient settings and is knowledgeable in the fields of interventional, transplant and open heart cardiology. A highly trained nurse practitioner, she performs physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications and treats a variety of chronic and acute conditions. As a skilled communicator and counselor, Mrs. Sellers also helps her patients manage and maintain their own care by providing them with valuable health information and education.
Mrs. Sellers is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and the American Nurses Association. Mrs. Sellers is passionate about cooking and traveling. She spends her spare time biking, hiking and walking her dog.
