September 7, 2012 – Hampton Roads, VA – Adults looking for convenient and cost-effective flu shots can roll down their window and roll up their sleeve at Sentara locations around Hampton Roads.
Sentara offers drive-thru flu shots on Saturday, October 6, from 8 a.m. until noon at seven Sentara locations in Gloucester, Isle of Wight, Newport News, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. (Shots will be offered while supplies last.) No appointment is needed.
As a community service, the flu shots are offered at a cost of $10. Payment can be made by cash and checks. The drive-thru flu shots are for adults ONLY. Child vaccinations are not available at these clinics.
This year’s vaccine formulation is designed to protect against the three virus strains that scientists believe will be most prevalent during the coming flu season.
